Bio: Born July 31, 1980, Harry James Potter is better known to the Wizarding community as The Boy Who Lived or The Chosen One. Months before Harry's birth, seer Sybill Trelawney had prophesied that a child born at the end of July and whose parents had three times defied Lord Voldemort would have the power to defeat the Dark Lord. Learning of the prophecy, Voldemort had interpreted it to mean Harry, although it could've also have applied to Neville Longbottom. Realizing their son was being targeted by Voldemort, the Potters had gone into hiding, using a charm to hide in plain sight. However, they were betrayed by their friend and Secret-Keeper, Peter Pettigrew, their location revealed to the Dark Lord. On Halloween 1981, Voldemort had approached their home in Godric's Hollow, with the intent to kill baby Harry. After using the Killing Curse on James, Voldemort had ordered Lily to stand aside, as he had promised Severus Snape that he wouldn't harm her unless she'd gotten in his way. When she'd refused, Voldemort had killed her as well, inadvertently casting a protection around Harry resulting from Lily's sacrifice. The Killing Curse he'd then tried to cast on Harry had backfired, quite literally, weakening the Dark Lord. Afterwards, Harry had been sent to live with his Muggle aunt and uncle, thus sealing the blood bond formed by Lily's sacrifice. His Muggle relatives had tried to hide his Wizarding heritage from him, but then, on his eleventh birthday, Harry had learned from Rubeus Hagrid that he was a wizard and that his parents had been magical as well. He'd proceeded to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where, much like Lily and James, he'd been sorted into Gryffindor house. During his time at Hogwarts, he'd befriended Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, joined his house Quidditch team during his first year (the youngest in a century), learnt he could speak to snakes in his second year, aided his convict godfather in his third year, competed in the Triwizard Tournament during his fourth year (despite being underage), fought alongside his friends against Voldemort's Death Eaters during his fifth year, and helped Albus Dumbledore destroy one of the Dark Lord's horcruxes in his sixth year. In what would've been his seventh year, he and his friends Ron and Hermione had dropped out of school to hunt down and destroy more of Voldemort's horcruxes, before finally defeating Voldemort and his Death Eaters in the Battle of Hogwarts. Harry himself had later gone on to become an Auror, marry Ron's sister Ginny, and father three children, James, Albus, and Lily.
